Dear Councillor, My name is Jeremy Connor. I am a local Manjimup resident and landowner and have lived in the shire since 2013 with my wife Sarah and our young family. I am a specialist software engineer by trade, working with a US based geospatial imagery company called Eagleview; my wife is a ceramic artist and graphic designer. With the 2021 local elections looming, I have put together a website to help citizens who are concerned with the dual threats of the SFIS or a potential water market vote effectively against these outcomes. I am emailing all incumbent councillors to determine their position on these issues. I intend to use the website to clearly communicate councillors positions on the following questions in their own words, with no editing or adulteration. The questions are as follows: 1) Did you vote against the SFIS? Note: An answer is not required here as the meeting minutes provide this, but additional information is welcomed. 2) Have you read the CSIRO "Donnelly River Model Review" by Justin Hughes released 31/05/2021? 3) Do you oppose an SFIS style water scheme? 4) Do you oppose a water trading market in principle? To keep each page reasonably sized, I would prefer if no single answer exceeded 500 words. Still, I want to ensure you are satisfied that your position is perfectly represented in the words you choose. In the absence of a response or until such a time as the answers are available, I shall render a placeholder indicating that your positions are currently unknown and that no response to this query has been received. I shall also include a copy of my email and the date & time that it was sent on the webpage to record the timeline of communication between ourselves. The SFIS and water availability are critically important issues and will have a huge impact on the Manjimup shire residents in the near future. It was evident in the lead up to the recent State election and in those results that these issues have galvanised the community. I look forward to hearing from you with gratitude and anticipation! Yours sincerely Jeremy Connor
